and the pilot of WorldCat Local in 2007 OCLC’s efforts to weave
libraries into the web are more exciting than ever! If you’d like to
hear more about WorldCat’s move to the open Web over the past few years,
join us for this session. We’ll focus on:
- Differences between Open WorldCat and WorldCat.org
- Where FirstSearch fits in
- Benefits for your library, your patrons, and all Web
users
- Maximizing your library's investment in WorldCat
- What is WorldCat Local

- a Windows computer with a connection to the Internet
- a web browser
- a microphone
- speakers
As Centra often requires a small download, it is essential
that you run the
Centra System Check at least two days before the workshop to
ensure that your computer is ready to attend.
