Digitization Services with Backstage Library Works

Backstage Library Works (BSLW) is an industry leader in digital imaging and metadata services, having provided high-quality technical services to libraries, archives and museums all over the world for more than twenty years. BSLW's digitization department has state-of-the-art equipment capable of scanning documents, books, photographs, artwork, film, slides, plates, posters, newspapers, maps, and realia. BSLW technicians carry out projects both in-house and on-site at client locations. BSLW also provides high-quality cataloging, indexing, and metadata services. BSLW employees have extensive experience in creating MARC records, in mapping information to metadata element sets such as Dublin Core and VRA Core, and in formatting information for specialized XML standards such as TEI and EAD.

This webinar will provide an introduction to digitization and metadata processes and will offer tips for the effective management of digitization projects. Information will also be available about BSLW services.
