OCLC WorldCat Resource Sharing Composed of more than 9,100 libraries, the WorldCat Resource Sharing network has at its core the comprehensive WorldCat database. WorldCat's tens of millions of records represent library-owned resources—both physical and digital—that cross all manner of subjects, languages, cultures and uniqueness. This service may also be used by libraries those who do not catalog on OCLC.

OCLC ILLiad OCLC ILLiad Resource Management software (OCLC ILLiad) automates routine interlibrary loan functions so you can provide superior service in a paper-free environment. Your staff manages all of your library's borrowing, lending, and document delivery through a single Windows-based interface.

MLNC and Atlas Systems (the developers of ILLiad) have partnered to offer MLNC members a 15% discount on Atlas's subscription trainingContact MLNC for more details.

Ariel MLNC is a regional distributor of Infotrieve's Ariel software, the document delivery system for users of the Internet.  Using the Ariel software, library staff can scan articles, photos and other documents; transfer the images electronically to other Ariel workstations; and convert them to PDF for easy delivery to patrons.

Clio Use Clio to manage your ILL transactions on the local level from the time a patron makes a request through the entire cycle, including loan, return, billing and payment. Clio has all the functions you need to manage your ILL operation including preparing and tracking customizable lending and borrowing notices and archiving completed transactions for later statistical use. MLNC provides libraries with a 5% discount off the list price of Clio software. For pricing and ordering information, contact MLNC Support.

Relais Relais International provides a suite of highly sophisticated systems and software to automate and streamline operations in traditional ILL and document delivery services as well as supporting on-campus delivery and distance-education programs. Show-Me the World The Show-Me the World (SMTW) program from the Missouri State Library encompasses three services for Missouri public libraries: WorldCat Resource Sharing, WorldCat via FirstSearch, and OCLC Batchloading.

MMLA (MLNC/Missouri Lending Agreement) An agreement available to Missouri libraries in two parts. Part A signers agree to the no-charge ILL of returnable materials to each other. Part B signers agree to provide up to 30 pages of no-charge photocopying to each other.

LVIS (Libraries Very Interested in Sharing) A no-charge OCLC Group Access Group, including thousands of libraries from across the country. LVIS participants agree to provide each other no-charge ILL of returnable materials and up to 30 pages of no-charge photocopies. LVIS members can perform special OCLC display holdings and union list commands to see the holdings of other LVIS participants.

MIGI (Missouri Interlibrary Group Initiative) MIGI is an OCLC "Group Access/Union Listing" group made up of all the interlibrary loan users of OCLC in Missouri, and select Illinois and Kansas libraries, which have banded together to share holdings and union list information.

IFLA Voucher Purchase Program IFLA Vouchers are available through MLNC. If your library lends or borrows internationally, IFLA (International Federation of Library Associations and Institutions) vouchers simplify the process of payment.

IFLA vouchers are a reusable plastic card which is used in lieu of money for payment for ILL transactions. They can be used indefinitely. IFLA encourages lenders to accept a standard payment of one voucher for one loan or photocopy of up to 15 pages, but libraries may charge more or less as desired.

When a voucher is received by the lending library, the voucher is kept, and may then be used as payment for future borrowing.

Pricing:

  • Full vouchers: $15.00
  • Half vouchers: $7.50

MLNC will charge a shipping and handling fee of $5.00 per order. For MLNC members, payment may be made via invoice or deduction from deposit account. Non-members must pay by credit card.

IFLA requires a minimum purchase of EUR 100. MLNC allows US libraries to purchase only the number of IFLA vouchers they need. Purchasing these vouchers through MLNC also eliminates the need to purchase euros and to convert dollars to euros.

A list of IFLA voucher participating libraries is available online.

To order, complete the order form below and return it to the MLNC Office via fax (816-394-1326), or attach as an email to MLNC Support (support@mlnc.org)
