ILL How-To Resources
Visit our ILL how-to resources for answers to commonly asked ILL
questions, definitions of OCLC terms, links to tutorials, helpful links
to ILL resources both OCLC and non-OCLC, and much more.
How OCLC ILL
Works
- Verify bibliographic information by searching WorldCat, the OCLC
online union catalog.
- Find lenders by displaying lists of holding libraries.
- Select potential lenders and use an online workform to create a
request.
- OCLC sends your electronic request to each potential lender, in
turn.
- OCLC tracks your request and notifies you when a lender fills
the request, ships the item, renews the item, and/or receives the
item once it is returned to them.

WorldCat Resource Sharing service, contact
