MLNC in cooperation with Oxford University Press (OUP), are pleased to offer member libraries the opportunity to subscribe to the online version of several Oxford products, including Oxford Art Online.

Oxford Art Online is the new gateway through which users can access an expanding range of Oxford's premier art content. Oxford Art Online contains the acclaimed Grove Art Online which has been relaunched with new content, functionality, and partnership links. Extra new art resources will be offered for subscription and purchase over the course of time. Included in the new gateway:

• Grove Art Online is the unsurpassed scholarly authority on every aspect of the visual arts from prehistory to the present day

• Grove Art Online includes the full text of the 34-volume print edition of The Dictionary of Art – PLUS specially-commissioned articles and updated bibliographies only available online

• The Oxford Companion to Western Art is included as part of a subscription to Grove Art Online at no extra charge

• NEW from March 2008 The Encyclopedia of Aesthetics and Concise Oxford Dictionary of Art Terms are included as part of a Grove Art Online subscription, providing a quick introduction to complex terms and concepts

• Over 2,000 additional colour images from the Metropolitan Museum of Art and Art Images for College Teaching, and 500 new images of modern and contemporary art, are embedded in the text of articles

• Linking via partnerships to other subject specific online resources, including ARTstor

• Learning Resources and World Art Timelines provide invaluable support for teachers and students

Free trials for OUP databases are available.

Ordering/Renewing

Subscriptions for Grove Art Online run on a July to June subscription year. Subscriptions may start at any time, but will be prorated to end on June 30.
