Spanish Reference Center

Spanish Reference Center delivers two products in one—a reference collection for ages 6-12 and another for the high school and college ages. Separate home pages for each level allow schools and libraries to tailor the product to their users' needs, making it the only online Spanish-language database that offers age-appropriate content for everyone.

PlanetaSaber, the most comprehensive encyclopedia in the Spanish language, includes over 144,000 encyclopedia articles plus images, maps, and tables. Complete with a dictionary, atlas, and timelines, it's the perfect resource for native Spanish speakers, bilingual students, and students learning Spanish. Enciclopedia Juvenil provides a Spanish Elementary Encyclopedia with 1,500 articles, images, Spanish-language videos, and Spanish Learning Materials specifically designed for younger students. These resources are designed to help students sharpen their language skills while they learn new lessons.

Features include:

  • Content For All Ages: Two separate databases deliver age-appropriate resources for elementary learners and more advanced users. Students can progress from one database to the next over time.
  • Multiple Resources In One Location: Search more than 145,000 articles in the encyclopedias, atlases, images, multimedia, and much more during the quest for knowledge.
  • Broad Coverage of Subjects: Younger students may search Animals A-Z or the Learning Materials, while older users can browse the comprehensive encyclopedias. It’s all here, in one trustworthy resource.

Britannica Online offers ongoing webinars.  Visit their online schedule to sign up for a demonstration.
