Counseling and Therapy in Video is a landmark collection, containing more than 300 hours of training videos, reenactments, and footage of actual therapy sessions conducted by renowned psychiatrists, psychologists, and social workers. The videos are designed for training and continuing education, providing an invaluable firsthand look at the realities of working with clients and the challenges associated with putting theoretical concepts into practice.

Perhaps the greatest source of anxiety for students—and even seasoned professionals—in the mental health field is the prospect of dealing with clients in face-to-face counseling sessions. Books and journal articles do a good job of relating theory, but are poor at conveying the actual experience of dealing with individuals in an interactive environment.
