Using WorldCat Collection
Analysis in Public Libraries

WorldCat Collection Analysis allows public libraries to analyze
their collections and compare their collections to authoritative
publisher and collection development title lists. Libraries use WorldCat
Collection Analysis to perform annual collection reviews, keep up with
changing demographics, and to analyze collection gaps. This one-hour
session will focus on public library workflows and demonstrate how to:
- Compare a collection to authoritative collection development
sources and publisher lists
- Examine the influence of interlibrary loan and circulation
transactions on your collection
- Generate exportable and printable reports
